It is very important to be very mindful of our breathing. Often we go through our daily activities, living through stressful events, and unfortunately being exposed to stressful situations that we can't necessarily avoid..
Here is a short tip that an be very helpful:
1) Take a few minutes out of your day, go to a quiet space, sit in a comfortable position and close your eyes.
2) Inhale fully through your nose and allow your belly to expand with the inhalation but don't force the breath.
3) very gently exhale through your mouth allowing your belly to contract (the breath of the inhalation and the exhalation should be about equal in time)
4) count 4-6 deep abdominal breaths
5) resume with your day
feel free to do this as many times as you desire, ideally you should find a few minutes approx three times a day
